There are many many people it seems using the UC Web browser. Especially the phone app, and I've dissembled it to see what's inside. Not only is their something called the "Alipay Listener" but there are also leaks and noticeably forceful advertisements. My conclusion to this, is that the UC browser is vigorously tracking you and collecting your data. What they do with this data? Sell it most likely, it profits them nothing to try so hard to collect your data if it isn't to sell it.
Whenever you try to ask them about it on their forums, they will delete your thread. Or on the rare chance that there is a reply, it is a robotic one asking you for more information.
There's no ethics to this UC group/company.
Guess I'll end here with that. Downloading UC is definitely risky business.
